Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. She started singing and studying songs with her mother and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. Following her move from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Her passion for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
